Bernard Heiliger's Nike, scanned from the original large format film.

This copy of a photo of Heiliger's great masterpiece "Nike" is scanned directly from the 9x12CM (3x4") negative on which it was made, using an Ilko 5x7' large format camera, which was the most advanced such camera of its time (it had shock-absorbing sides supporting the back and front lens holders, etc., and numerous adanced features. The only surviving large format Messraster in the world at that time and since was used.

The resolution and image quality is absolutely as good as it gets, both then and now. There just isn't anything more to get from an image.
